Successfully completed the 14th underwater cleanup operation at Tehnomont Marina Veruda
Another sunny Sunday morning, October 19, 2025, brought us the same goal for the fourteenth year in a row – a cleaner sea and a healthier environment at Tehnomont Marina Veruda.
Responding to the invitation from co-organizers KPA Medulin and Tehnomont d.d., numerous clubs and sea and diving enthusiasts took part: KPA Uljanik, RK Centar, Eko More, RK Loligo, RK Vitez Wrecks, RK Meduza, DPA Rabac, RK Discovery, the Diving Association of Istria County, and Emergensea Pula.
This year, the divers focused on the marina entrance from the sea side. The sun and calm sea accompanied them throughout the operation, and the sea once again revealed what we throw into it – from accidentally lost items and objects likely blown off decks by the wind, to unfortunately intentionally discarded waste. Onshore, they were supported by marina staff and other participants in the cleanup.
The collected waste was temporarily displayed along the shore – a silent but powerful reminder of how much each of us can (and should) do for a cleaner sea.
After the successful cleanup, the divers and marina staff gathered at the Volaria restaurant, where they relaxed, shared experiences, and laughed together.
Everyone received appropriate T-shirts – a symbol of unity and dedication to the sea we love.
